I walked the James River Canal Walk this morning. I took 175 photos and got just 6 (!) that I’m happy with. But it’s a nice walk, especially for anyone interested in history or architecture.
The CSX line passing in front of the old Tredegar Iron Works.
The old rail line from Tredegar across to Manchester. The new(er) Manchester Bridge is top left.
Footbridge across to Brown’s Island.
The underside of Manchester Bridge. I had to do some scrambling to get this one, but I had to have it.
One of many great, old buildings along the Canal, the RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co.
Detail on the Canal side of the Reynolds Tobacco building.
The Canal Walk is a very nice walk and a good look at a lot of Richmond History. Definitely worth a couple trips back for photos.
