I went by Dutch Gap this morning for a much needed photo walk. And I tried something a little different with the photos... I cropped nearly all of them to the 'cinematic widescreen' 16X9 frame. I really like the feeling it gives them. I just may start shooting everything in that aspect ratio.
One of the rare instances where I'd like a longer lens. Also check out the 4X1 print I mocked up.
The Varina-Enon Bridge just begs for the widescreen format.
The flowers around the Tidal Lagoon are in various stages of fading away for the Winter.
A lot of industrial scrap lays about the site.

"Keep park trash free."
I might be a bit out of shape, but c'mon...
It was a beautiful morning for a photo walk. I did the whole 4.5 mile circuit in about an hour and a half. There are some interesting photos to be gotten at Dutch Gap and I'll wager the majority of people who live around here have no idea it exists.
