We started the day at The Seas With Nemo and Friends. They added that Disney Magic to the experience by having Tropical Storm Debby visit the park.
I ran through the rain to snag some FastPasses for Soarin'. And it was totally worth it. It's a really good ride. I don't even like heights or flying that much but I thoroughly enjoyed Soarin'. And as an extra bonus we met Erin's aunt Arlene Marie there at The Land Pavilion for lunch and she took Beatrix to see the Circle of Life film so Erin and I could actually ride a real ride together.
After that we went back to the hotel for naps. Beatrix and I passed right out and might have slept through dinner if I hadn't set my alarm.
But we did make it to dinner. We ate at San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion with our friends Sean and Andrea and their son, Gabriel. A good meal with good friends topped off with several good margaritas. The six of us then took the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride which was always a favorite of mine when I was a kid.
After dinner Erin and Beatrix went to go meet some characters and while they waited in line I went to Mission: Space. Which is freaking awesome. Seriously. Freaking. Awesome.
I caught up with Erin and Beatrix in line to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. Beatrix liked meeting Mickey but she loved meeting Minnie Mouse.
After that they went back to see Nemo once more and I took another trip to Mars on Mission: Space. It was just as awesome the second time.
We met back up to ride Spaceship Earth to end the evening. Beatrix really liked it which was a nice change from the other dark rides we've been on.
So despite the weather's best efforts we had a nice day at Epcot. More fun in the parks tomorrow...
